What responsible adoption means

  • →Customers and members are treated fairly. AI should not change who gets approved, what they pay or how they are served, except for the better.
  • →AI is applied where it enhances service or improves efficiency. The best uses free staff from routine work so they have more time for the people they serve.
  • →Every use adheres to all applicable laws, including fair lending, privacy and consumer protection rules that apply whether or not AI is involved.
  • →Institutions work with their regulators, not around them. AI is new to everyone, and open conversations with examiners make it easier to adopt with confidence.

How members take part

Members meet at events to compare notes, contribute use cases from their own teams, and read the newsletter to keep up with the industry. Institutions that share their work are credited for it unless they would rather stay anonymous.

We publish nothing until the institution signs off, and we never post customer data or internal policies. We share the method.

Who runs AIBCU

AIBCU began as a collaboration between MultiModel, an AI vendor, and its bank and credit union customers, who wanted a way to share learnings and best practices with each other at scale.

Membership is free. You do not have to be a MultiModel customer to register and fully participate.
